Dugger's characters are getting a facelift a this very moment (Matt's also getting a nip and tuck if you know what I mean wink wink...just fucking with you). Anyway. The site will have to be torn down and refurbed. That means that I'm going to fail this semester. I'm no longer going to post the comic itself on this LJ. Instead I'll be posting links to the page with the updated comic. This is just because my site needs traffic for me to get benefits and whatnot so I can make Dugger bigger and better leter on. Right now I'm only getting the minimum traffic (mostly because I haven't udated in around a year). I'm sorry if that sucks to you, but Keenspace has rules, albeit very loose rules. Anyway, I'm going to be using my scanner primarily for the comics so it won't look like a cookiecutter comic anymore...hopefully. The comic I'm drawing out right now requires making new designs for the characters so it will take a while even tho I'm almost done with it. I'm going to try to but in some new charcters as the comic progresses. We'll see how that goes.

Dugger Funfacts:

Dugger was originally called "Living in Shit" and had nothing to do with college life

The original Mateo character's nipples were visible through his shirt..for obvious reasons

I can't draw legs, so shoes always point in either the left or right regardless of whether the character is facing forward or to the side.

Phregd was originally a menstral bloodclot, but I almost vomited while trying to draw him, so he became...whatever he is.

I take periodic breaks while drawing and wrting the script to laugh at my own jokes...yes, I'm that pathetic.

Generally, the least funny script that I create is used for the next comic because the other scripts are only funny because I'm insane.

The original intent of the comic was purely to dis on Matt...but he laughed at it, negating all possible dissing effectiveness.

I'm so lazy that, on 3 occasions, I have completely drawn out a comic but didn't feel like posting it. I am the only one who has seen 2 of the 3 comics. NYA

This Funfacts section was originally called Quickfacts, but I changed it because I was bored at the time.

I think I might make him a reoccuring character even tho he's hard as piss to draw. But, I like him so much with his little dove and eyepatch. He makes me happy in way I never though Jesus was capable of. Anyway, I spent a while making this comic so you'd better fucking like it.

I have nothing more to say about the comic than "..." I hope you feel the same.

P.S. I had this comic done in time to post on Sunday, but it is really hard to post on Keenspace through ftp during the weekend. I'm sorry it is so late.

Chapter 1: The Birth of Phregd

Ok, so if you hadn't noticed, today's comic is lame. I was going for the whole "Holy shit that's lame" thing. Not really. I hadn't intended to make a comic for today at all so, I hadn't been thinking of a plot and thusly, I had to write it "on the fly." I hope that it turned out as well as I designed it to. The whole-over explanation exemplifying the boredom of the characters as they play out my mindless tasks was the prevading theme in the strip. That always gets a good "guffaw" from my end. Seeing my little puppets do my little dance makes me feel happy. I am their GOD.

--Daniel
